• Download the standard Module install package you wish to use
• Run the installer, eventually you will be presented with an option about where to install the package. We told it to install it in a new folder called C:\XAMP which XAMPP will create.
• Continue with the installation
• Yes/No for  install Apache, MySQL, Filezilla and Mercury as a service (Best to choose “No” for now. You can always enable these as services later.)
• Yes/No question for to start the XAMPP Control Panel.
• Click the “No” button. (There are several ways to start your webserver.)
• Create a XAMPP shortcut icon on your desktop or Open XAMP installation folder (C:\XAMP)
• When the XAMPP Control Panel has launched, click the “Start” buttons for Apache and MySQL
• Go to http://localhost/. If you are directed to a page with the XAMPP logo, your installation was successful. Congratulations!

You can add or change the files in C:\xampp\htdocs\

Put your web site in “C:\xampp\htdocs" folder

Then go to http://localhost/websitename ( folder name )
