With the mobile smart-phone market already highly saturated with devices and operating systems, it seems as though that isn’t enough of a deterrent for Samsung. The technology giant has announced bada, the next mobile operating system for smart phones.

According to the Official bada website, “Samsung bada is a new open platform that enables rich user experience in applications on Samsung mobile devices.” Samsung’s bada website also states that they have developed bada “to deliver simple, intuitive and innovative user experiences through innovative design.”

Some of the key features of the bada platforms include integrated support for service-oriented features to develop connected applications as well as extensible core functions of the operating system which bada applications can access freely.

Bada is set to launch it’s developer site in December of 2009. The questions are will developers adopt this new platform and is bada going to provide something different for users in the already crowded mobile market.
